I Am In HOG HEAVEN

One of the dreams when busting 1995 Playoff Contenders football was to pull one of the rare Hog Heavens.
It was a dream I never accomplished.

But in my search for ALL of the Rodney Hampton cards ever made, I was finally able to add one of these beauties to my collection. These were so rare that I hadn't even seen one in person til now.

Here she is. Great design and concept all around. The leather football and player in the skies in heaven on foil..
The back of the card is also leather.

Back in the day, these fell 1:40 packs which was a tough pull knowing boxes only came with 24 packs. In today's world of collecting, those kinda odds seem like every box. Another thing about these is that top player have held their value over years, which once again indicates they are a bit tough.
I managed to add this to my Hampton PC for $4. A steal to me.

How many of you own a Hog Heaven or remember pulling one from packs?

(BLOGGERS NOTE: This post was put together before I decided to do the Hampton Cardboard Craze blog. You will definitely see these cards again on that blog individually front and back and with more detail on each. If you haven't added that blog to your read list, please do so. You can add that blog or check it out with this link, http://hamptoncardboard.blogspot.com/ . Thanks! )
