Yard Sale Find # 4 Finest Baseball 1999 Series 2

We recently posted about a Yard Sale we went to and picked up a bunch of sports cards at (mostly baseball). We thought it would be fun to take you on the journey with us to discover what is inside of every box, every single we got picking out the best ones along the way to show. We hope you enjoy the trip and comments are always welcomed.

There were two series in 1999 Finest and150 cards in each series. Series 2 is the strong series of the two So finding the only the second one was exciting as we hoped for top rookies and maybe a few snuck in parallels.

Had to show Griffey Jr. by himself. This swing is like no other and no one will ever play the game like this guy did. Part of the reason I used to PC him in the 90's.Which by the way is where this card is going.

I Must also note the protective covering for the cards back then. I liked the concept cause it kept the cards from being surfaced scratched. It's part of the reason I never have peeled them off. Just imagine what some cards would sell for now-a-days if Topps still did this. Imagine a non-surface marked card (meaning no finger prints, no greasy marks, or scratches) that also didn't have anything to do with centering too (no borders) of a Superfractor of Yasiel Puig or Derek Jeter. Those would grade very high and be pretty much untouchable for most collectors to afford.

Yankee PC and star player adds

Finest Subset Cards. Overall there were 5 different subsets to collect.
Rookies from our find. Despite none of them being true rookies or someone mind blowing, I still have a place for them in the collection. However some notable rookies from this years Finest are Pat Burrell, C.C. Sabathia and Alfonso Soriano.

Overall, a weak break from the yard sale break so far. Just a bunch of base cards, no name rookies and a few star players. However, since I collect unique base cards and always a fan of 90's products, all of these will find a home in my collection.

Another Yard Sale Find # 5 coming up tomorrow! Plenty more to come as well all from this one yard sale break.
