Review: Prime Signatures Football 2012

Prime Signatures was very appealing last year with its thick base cards and sweet looking autographs. However, with one hit its a hit or miss. Last year our one hit was a redemption. This year we got two autographs.

Box Break Down:
  • 1 Pack Per Box, 4 Cards Per Pack
  • (1) Autographed Card Per Pack /199 or Less
  • (2) Common Base & (1) Parallel Card Per Pack
  • Boxes will run ya $55

BASE CARDS: I do like the base cards. Very thick. Very eye catching and very thick. If all base cards were like this it might lead to less pack searching. Each of these base cards are numbered as well. However, putting a set together would be a monumental task with only 2 base per pack.

INSERTS: You get one of these Prime Proofs per box. These are numbered to 49.

AUTOGRAPHS:One of these per box on average. We beat the odds and got two. Though they are no namers, I still like the design of the base cards with an autograph even if its a sticker

JERSEY/PATCH CARDS: N/A (New to this years product is auto patch cards. These look sick when pulled)

OVERALL THOUGHTS: I like the design but getting only 4 cards (we got 5 with the extra auto) and only one hit makes this product a tough buy. Its not one I would take a risk on when I can buy other products for this price and end up with more. The designs are nice, but I still think this product is missing something. Maybe up the cards to 10 per pack and 3 hits at a $100 would be better for this. Its just to risky of a buy for this blogger.

RATINGS:  Bloggers Note: Our ratings are based specifically on the blaster, box or packs we opened and do not express what the overall product could bring. Ratings based on a 1-5. 1 Being the lowest and 5 being the highest.
                Packaging: 4
                Base Design: 4
                Insert Design: 4
                Memorablila/Autographs: 4
Blaster, Hobby Box, or Pack Value: 2

  1. While I like the look I really dislike the price/hits ratio.

  2. Agreed, I broke 1 box and that was it for me. To much money for too little. Especially with the auto's being mostly no namers. I watched a lot of breaks of this product and TJ Graham is a name to be happy about.
